Student Guide

Your teacher uses Circzy Classroom for microcontroller practice. This guide explains how to join a class, do assignments and exams, and see your scores. You pay nothing and there is nothing to install.

What you need

• A laptop or phone with a browser (Chrome recommended).
• A Google account. If your school gave you a school email (for example name@school.edu), use that one.
• A class code, link or QR code from your teacher.

1. Join the class

Use whichever method your teacher gave you:

Fill in your Full name as on the class list (and your Student ID number if asked), then click Join a class.

• If you see You will join the class right away, you are in.
• If you see Waiting for approval, wait until your teacher accepts you.

2. See your assignments

On the Classroom home page, open your class under Classes you attend. The assignment list shows:

• Assignments: practice with no working time limit; just submit before the due date.
• Exams: timed. As soon as you press Start exam, the clock runs.
• The opening time and due date of each assignment.

3. Work on it

1. Open the assignment and click Start working (or Start exam).
2. Answer the questions one by one:
   • Multiple choice: click your answer.
   • Essay: type in the Write your answer box. If your teacher blocked pasting, you must type it yourself.
   • Practice: click Work in the simulator. The Circzy simulator opens with your teacher's starter circuit. Wire it, write the program and run it with ▶ until it does what the task asks. Click Back to questions when done.
3. Answers are saved automatically. Saved automatically appears on screen.
4. When everything is done, click Submit. Submitted answers can no longer be changed.

4. See your score

After your teacher grades and releases the scores, open the submitted assignment. The Your score section shows the score for each question plus the Teacher's note. For practice questions, click View my circuit to reopen your circuit (view only; changes are not saved).

Pro features in class

While working in Classroom you get Pro features for free: the virtual phone, extra libraries, faster compiling and a larger virtual internet quota. These only apply inside the class.

Student questions

Can I work from my phone? Yes. For big circuits a laptop is more comfortable.

My internet dropped while working. Saved answers are safe. Reconnect and open the assignment; you can continue while time remains. If an exam ran out because of a problem, ask your teacher for extra time.

How do I leave a class? Open the class and click Leave class. You need the code again to rejoin.
