Logic & ICs
Logic gates, 74-series chips, a multiplexer, flip-flops and shift registers. They are useful to learn digital electronics and to extend the I/O of a board.
Logic
- NOT gateA is the input, Y is the output.
- AND gateA and B are inputs, Y is the output. Needs a voltage from an Arduino pin or 5V/GND.
- OR gateA and B are inputs, Y is the output. Needs a voltage from an Arduino pin or 5V/GND.
- XOR gateA and B are inputs, Y is the output. Needs a voltage from an Arduino pin or 5V/GND.
- NAND gateA and B are inputs, Y is the output. Needs a voltage from an Arduino pin or 5V/GND.
- NOR gateA and B are inputs, Y is the output. Needs a voltage from an Arduino pin or 5V/GND.
- D flip-flopQ follows D on the rising edge of CLK.
- D flip-flop with Set/ResetS = set, R = reset (active HIGH).
- 74HC595 shift registerDS data, SHCP clock, STCP latch. OE to GND, MR to 5V.
- 74HC165 input shift registerPL load (active LOW), CP clock, Q7 output. CE to GND.
- Multiplexer 74HC4051S0–S2 select which of Y0–Y7 connects to Z. E to GND to enable.
- IC 74HC00 (4x NAND)VCC to 5V, GND to GND.
- IC 74HC08 (4x AND)VCC to 5V, GND to GND.
- IC 74HC32 (4x OR)VCC to 5V, GND to GND.
