Input Parts
Buttons, switches (including a magnetic reed switch), keypads, knobs and remote controls. You operate them directly on the canvas while the simulation runs.
Input
- PushbuttonOne leg to a pin (INPUT_PULLUP), the opposite leg to GND.
- Small pushbutton 6mm
- Slide switchThe middle leg (2) connects to leg 1 or 3.
- DIP switch 8Switch n connects pins na and nb. Click a switch while the simulation is running.
- Keypad 4x4Keypad block: R1–R4 → pins 9, 8, 7, 6 and C1–C4 → pins 5, 4, 3, 2 (Pico: R1–R4 → GP13–GP10, C1–C4 → GP9–GP6; Blue Pill: R1–R4 → PB12–PB15, C1–C4 → PA8, PA15, PB3, PB4; ESP32: R1–R4 → D13, D12, D14, D27, C1–C4 → D26, D25, D33, D32).
- Analog joystickVERT and HORZ to analog pins, SEL to a digital pin (INPUT_PULLUP).
- Rotary encoder KY-040CLK and DT to digital pins, SW to a pin (INPUT_PULLUP). Rotate with the arrows during simulation.
- PotentiometerVCC to 5V (Pico: 3V3), GND to GND, SIG to an analog pin.
- Slide potentiometer
- IR remoteNo wiring needed. Press its buttons during simulation; the signal is picked up by the IR receiver.
- Keypad 3x4R1–R4 and C1–C3 to digital pins. Use the Keypad library.
- Keypad 1x4COM to GND, K1–K4 to pins (INPUT_PULLUP). A pressed key reads LOW.
- TTP223 touch sensorSIG is HIGH when touched. VCC to 5V or 3V3.
- Magnetic sensor (Hall)SIG is LOW when a magnet is near the sensor.
- Reed switch (magnetic)Leg 1 to a pin (INPUT_PULLUP), leg 2 to GND. Reads LOW while a magnet is near.
- Rotary dialerDIAL connects to GND while dialing, PULSE pulses to GND as many times as the selected digit (0 = 10 pulses).
